Welcome to the 2024 edition of WhitewallerMiami. We are happy to be back, as always, for the last hurrah of the art season in sunny Miami Beach. It is such a pleasure to have the wonderful Sarah Arison, president of the Arison Arts Foundation, back as our guest editor for another issue, along with a longtime cover partner, YoungArts.

The show Spectral Landscapes: The Fusion of Organic and Futuristic Design marked Charles Burnand Gallery's first foray at PAD London this year. On view from October 8 - 13, 2024, the innovative design exhibition merged the natural with the avante-garde, establishing a captivating dialogue between organic forms and futuristic aesthetics.

Design Miami announces highlights for 20th Edition of its flagship Miami Beach fair, under Curatorial Director Glenn Adamson’s ‘Blue Sky’ theme

’Birth Cabinet’ was selected by Gianluca Longo and The World Of Interiors as one of the top twenty works at the fair.

Artist and furniture designer Lin Yanxiong makes his European debut with Charles Burnand Gallery, presenting sculptural pieces from his “A Window to the Past” collection. A black cabinet and table — made using xuan (rice) paper, steel, wood and natural urushi lacquer — aim to become “poetic vehicles”, he says, that transport the viewer to other worlds, playing with notions of the real and imaginary.

With work from more than 400 makers on display, Collect (1 – 3 March 2024) is the Crafts Council’s flagship show – and a honeypot for collectors eager to discover the next big thing or add that perfect new piece.
